The National Aquarium

The National Aquarium is one of Baltimore’s more popular attractions. They have the usual animals one would normally see at an aquarium but they also feature animals from all over the world. The aquarium has a large variety of birds, invertebrates, sea creatures and amphibians. Not to mention all the exhibits that showcase the animals. The National Aquarium also has a 4D theater that makes visitors experience not only the sights but the sounds and smells as well. Another popular feature at the aquarium is their tours that actually allow aquarium visitors to go underneath the water to see what goes on behind the scenes!

Another important feature of this museum has the biggest collection of arts from Henri Matisse. Also visiting the contemporary museum of art in Baltimore is recommended for its pieces of art that have been made in collaboration with artists all over the world. One of the most unique pieces that this place holds is the sculpture of the human body in the form of a tree by Louise Bourgeois called Femme. The sports Legends Museum

Apart from the numerous Art museums, Baltimore is home to a unique Museum. The Sports Legends Museum is one the few Museums in America that is dedicated for sports stars. Baltimore has given America its finest sports persons and athletes since the past century and more. To commemorate these great athletes and sports persons, the Sports legends Museum was set up sin Baltimore in 2005. Since its inception, it has become the most visited museum of its kind. Posts fans from all over America come to Baltimore specially for this one of a kind museum. This museum is located at the Camden Yards on the first floor and the basement of the Camden Station. Camden Station has a history of its own. Camden Station was opened in 1855 to serve the passengers of Baltimore who come from the Ohio Railroad. The Ohio Road was the first railroad to be commercialized. This structure stood the largest building in Baltimore for a very long time.

The Sports Legends Museum today has more than 22,000 sq feet dedicated to sports persons from all over America. Some of he sports persons that have a permanent place here are. Babe Ruth who was the first sports celebrity of America was the first exhibit here. Then there are sections dedicated for the Baseball industry in Baltimore. It tells the story from 1890′s till today about the growth of the nine innings of the baseball industry. Another section is dedicated to the orioles. The rooms that have these exhibits are roomed in differently designed rooms that suit the theme of the exhibit. Another exhibit it dedicated to the Baltimore Colts. This exhibit tries to show the connection between the citizens and love affair with their baseball team. There are numerous other exhibits that are dedicated to singular sports persons.
